MEMBERSHIP AT THE BLACK RIVER RANCH

The Black River Ranch (BRR) has a limited membership of 30 Regular members (age 40+) and Five Intermediate members (age 30-39). 

 

The Black River Ranch is most active with 100% cabin capacity from mid—April to the first week in December. After the first week of December and into the beginning of April, there are a limited number of cabins available due to the winter conditions.

BRR has unique features and activities available to members.

Hunting

  • White tail deer
  • 8 point or better buck harvest
  • Annually tailored doe harvest
  • Large hunt zones with permanent heated blinds
  • No drive times during hunt
  • Members plus 2 guests max during 1st week of rifle season
  • 24-hour security linemen
  • Elk, Bear, Grouse, Turkey & Woodcock

Fishing

  • 3 Lakes, electric motors only, large-mouth bass, rock bass, bluegill, perch
  • Silver Lake, approx. 150 spring-fed acres, 32’ deep, 10,000’ shoreline
  • Bush Lake, approx. 13 acres, 25’ deep
  • Robarge Lake
  • Main Branch & East Brach of the Black River, approx. 12 miles of river that is home to native Brook Trout
  • Guided fly fishing available with advanced notice.  Fee paid separately to the guide

SHOOTING

  • Trap Range with stationary trap gun
  • Covered Long Range 100 yd., 200 yd., 300 yd., 400 yd., 500 yd. with stationary & reactive targets
  • Covered Rifle Range, shooting booths, movable targets to 100 yd.

RECREATIONAL

  • 60 miles of trails for Hiking, Horseback Riding, or Jeep Riding
  • 1-3 hour Tube, Canoe, or Kayak trips, Swimming
  • Riverside picnics, Bird watching, Stargazing
  • Incredible Elk viewing, resident Eagles, Loons & other wildlife
  • 4th of July and Labor Day celebrations
  • Guided horseback trail riding available with advanced notice.  Fee paid separately to the guide
